High School Career

Davis went to Hanover High School in Mechanicsville, Virginia. He was there for two years, playing basketball for the team.

After two years, Davis transferred to Benedictine High School in Richmond, Virginia. He won two state championships with his high school basketball team. 

Davis participated in the McDonald’s All-American Game with his teammates and got selected for the Jordan Brand All-American Team by the officials.

In 2007, Davis was recognized for his skills and named co-player of the year.

In 2008, Davis earned the title of Mr. Basketball of Virginia as Virginia’s best high school basketball player. 

Davis ranked fourth in the forward power list by Rivals.com and 15th player in the country in 2008.

College Career

Ed Davis went to the University of North Carolina and was a North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball team member.

In 2009, Davis played in NCAA Basketball Tournament and won six matches with his team. He showcased brilliant skills and performance in the tournament. For his extraordinary performance, Davis was selected for the ALL-Freshman Team.

Davis signed a contract with the Raptors on July 6, 2010. But after just one month in the club, he was transferred to Erie BayHawks.

On November 29, 2010, Davis was back with the Raptors.

On January 30, 2013, Davis was exchanged to the Memphis Grizzlies with his other teammates.
